AWAY – The Book about Residencies
The publication is to be read as a comprehensive record of art residencies. It contrasts artistic contributions of participating artists-in-residence with theoretical reviews, generates future scenarios on the basis of the discursive program and documents the exhibition Stories from Abroad. With 800 artists-in-residence and 25 studios, the publication sketches out the 50-year history of the International Residency Program of the BMKOES and characterizes the concept and mission of Away Art Residencies.
